  • Overview

    This position is an entry level sales position to prospect new business and learn the essential prospecting and sales functions of a Territory Manager.


    • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities through lead generation.
    • Interact with potential customers via email, phone and/or additional electronic means of communication to market and sell Guest Supply products.
    • Cold call and prospect new hotels that are not currently buying through Guest Supply.
    • Speak with decision maker(s) (i.e., General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Head Housekeepers, Owners, etc.) to uncover opportunities and competitive landscape.
    • Discuss products and solutions with decision makers to better position Guest Supply’s offering to customers.
    • Probe and uncover opportunities by identifying customer problems and educating the customer on the Company’s products that resolve those problems.
    • Partner with assigned Territory Manager to facilitate and on-board the customer to Guest Supply. Assist in the set-up of new accounts including the creation of customer

       order guides, obtaining new account applications, setting up price-rules, establishing order/delivery schedules, implementing customer/vendor pricing agreements,        creating files, etc. 

    • Participate in regional calls and meetings to keep the leadership team informed of updates, progress and call results. Track results and progress using company provided tools such as, PersistIQ, etc.


    • 1 year work experience.
    • Familiarization with sales, customer service activities, interdepartmental communications and/or general finance concepts is a plus.

    • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency. Ability to    communicate clearly through email, telephone and in-person. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, management and associates.  Capable of working with others in a proactive and constructive manner.
    • Ability to think creatively and become solution driven.
    • Active listening skills to understand and interpret solution driven selling.
    • Aptitude for processing information and incorporating feedback for interactive business conversation.
    • Capacity to convey ideas effectively and sell a variety of products

    • Computer literacy including familiarity in handling and maintaining a customer database and skills that include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and    Outlook) and Internet navigation.
    • Familiarity with Phocas, Gforce, or PersistIQ a plus.
