    The Inventory Control Coordinator - Lead (ICC – Lead) is responsible for planning, scheduling and directing the work efforts of Inventory Control Coordinators in support of Soap Operations manufacturing production to meet and/or exceed productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost goals and ensure the department operates according to established company policies and procedures.  The ICC-Lead will also manage transaction and reconciliation issues in High Jump and PeopleSoft for the MFGPI business unit.

    Responsibilities

    • In addition to performing the essential duties of an Inventory Control Coordinator, the ICC – Lead will prioritize, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of Inventory Control Coordinators to assure compliance of standard procedures, quality and safety. This includes but is not limited to: manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, conflict resolution and mentoring.  Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.  Consult with Human Resources Department and Soap Operations Manager as appropriate.  Conduct regular department or pre-shift meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate any changes to company policies and procedures, address employee concerns, foster idea sharing and suggestions for improvement. Participate in staff selection, training, performance evaluations, corrective action and terminations, as necessary.  
    • Troubleshoot Warehouse Management System (WMS – High Jump) and Enterprise Management Systems (EMS - PeopleSoft) transaction issues for MFGPI.
    • Perform reconciliations between WMS and EMS for MFGPI. Recommend course of actions to be taken regarding rejected components from vendors and/or inventory adjustments.  Obtain management approval accordingly. 
    • Communicate with Purchasing & Planning to ensure inventories are accurate to support the Soap Operations production schedule requirements for each shift.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures in support of inventory control.   
    • Follow, train and ensure compliance on GMP’s related to personal hygiene and handling of materials and equipment in order to maintain hygiene standards; safety guidelines and general housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
    • Communicate effectively with co-workers and department supervision.
    • Provide & implement strategic plan to meet daily requirements and minimize or eliminate down time. Manage labor hours including extra work days and shifts as needed.
    • Provide & maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate emergency response or crisis management activities. Coordinate efforts with Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, assist on conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.
    • Assure compliance of all company and local, state and federal regulatory agencies’ (i.e., OSHA and FDA) policies and regulations.
    • Confer with other supervisors/mangers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.   Regularly interact and communicate with various internal departments to provide vital information that may be necessary to meet business demands. Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with the implementation of changes within the facility.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Powered Industrial Equipment Certification (Reach Truck, Sit-Down and Ride-On Powered Pallet Jack)

     

    • 3 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
    • 3 years’ experience using WMS and EMS software.

     

    • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency. Ability to read, analyze and write reports, technical procedures and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and inter-department staff.  Capable of working with peers and associates from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner. Ability to successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings.
    • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), WMS and EMS software, preferably High Jump and People Soft.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
    • Ability to work independently to determine and apply appropriate policies and procedures and recognize the critical financial impacts to the business.
    • Ability to learn new information and perform at a high level of efficiency in a minimal amount of time.
    • Planning / Organization - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities/deadlines and shift priorities as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • While this position will primarily work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment, this position may require travel. May be required to utilize personal vehicle for business travel that may result in long periods of sitting.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to move different package sizes and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, airborne particles, cold and elevated ambient temperature and outside weather conditions.
    • This position may require working overtime on other shifts and weekends depending on business needs.
