    The Inside Sales Supervisor is primarily responsible for the development and performance of 4-7 inside sales associates and ensures their clear understanding of the company vision and mission statement. The Inside Sales Supervisor will provide leadership, planning, coaching, training and monitoring of all sales activities to ensure team achieves maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and goals. This position will also be assigned and maintain a small sales quota from existing customers (approx. 20-30 customers with estimated revenue of $1M-$2M).


    • Work with Inside Sales Director or Manager to establish plans and build strategies to increase sales revenue from current clients and new client acquisitions. 
    • Establish sales objectives for assigned team by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new properties and ensure that rolling forecasts are placed from the Inside Sales Territory Managers. 
    • Reassign territories within team as needed. 
    • Review and adjust customer pricing as necessary.
    • Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of assigned inside sales associates to assure compliance of standard Company policies, procedures, quality and safety. Coach and develop team before, during and after calls to balance the delivery of high productivity and customer service. Maintain a positive and safe work environment. 
    • Oversee employee relations and participate in staff selection, performance evaluations, corrective action and terminations, as necessary. Establish performance goals, monitor progress and provide feedback as necessary. Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, mentoring and resolving conflict. Take corrective action as necessary in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy. Provide and/or coordinate training and educational programs as needed. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate. 
    • Conduct regular department meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate any changes to company policies and procedures, address employee concerns, foster idea sharing and suggestions for improvement. 
    • Perform sales responsibilities for assigned clients promoting the Company’s products and services and building relationships with new and existing customers by telephone, email, and other electronic means. Maintain and grow sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning and FF&E products to hotels, motels and/or management groups for assigned customers. Increase sales through account penetration by analyzing current sales and volume, planning sales calls and following up.
    • Utilize product knowledge, ROI and analytical research tools (i.e., Phocas, GForce and and sales training resources to effectively target new prospects and opportunities.
    • Participate in major client presentations and discussions to ensure best in class customer service. Assist with messaging, content creation and inside sales strategic direction.
    • Work with other operating divisions that support the sales organization to create and ensure a collaborative work environment. 



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or equivalent industry experience. 


    • 3-5 years in sales experience, including 2-3 years of inside sales. 
    • Experience in B2B sales market preferred. Experience in the hospitality or supply industry a plus.
    • Previous management experience preferred as team leader, trainer, supervisor or manager. 


    • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency. 
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management and inter-department staff. 
    • Capable of working with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
    • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams. Able to engage and lead team discussions and meetings. Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure. Collaborative management style. Delegates responsibilities effectively.     • Customer Service – Respond promptly to requests for service and assistance as needed. Solicit customer feedback to improve service. Follow up as needed.

    • Ability to understand and execute all relevant policies and procedures in a consistent, timely and objective manner and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
    • Strong understanding of financial concepts (including pricing and forecasting)
    • Proficient use of MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), maintaining customer database and internet navigation. 
    • Familiarity with Phocas, GForce PeopleSoft and preferred.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. 
    • While this position will primarily work in an office environment, limited overnight travel may be required to attend client meetings, company events, staff meetings, training sessions, and/or industry or vendor trade shows. 
    • May be required to utilize personal vehicle for business travel that may result in long periods of sitting. Must maintain a valid driver license and provide proof of current automobile insurance coverage as set forth by Sysco.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • This position may require evening and weekend work depending on customer needs.
